There are a number of benefits for our members as outlined below:

  Connected to the local police, support officers and CCTV control.
• Radio panic button
  Alerts other users, CCTV and the police. It is quicker than a 999 call.
• Radio training
  We provide radio training at any time that is suitable to you because staff are often changing.
• Staff Awareness training for retail businesses
  This is about being one step ahead of the criminals. We help to educate staff on how to recognise a thief, body language, the deceptive use of carrier bags and general deception methods.
• Incident forms, to report all kinds of crime such as...

  Alcohol/substance related crime

• Photo/information sharing scheme
  We provide photographs of offenders to all our members letting you know who is active and who you need to be warned about. These are on our secure website for members only and we hold regular meetings to update information.
• Exclusion Notice Scheme
  Banning those individuals who spoil it for us all. This is targeting those prolific offenders in Medway. By excluding them we aim to make Medway a safer place to work, live and shop.
• Anti Social Behaviour Orders
  Those who persist to cause problems within our member's premises, will be dealt with by the courts as a last resort.
• Regular members meetings
  Keeping you updated on what is going on in Medway, also answering any questions or queries you may have. 
• National Business Information System (Safermedway.com)
• A comprehensive computer system for the collation of data, helping to identify offenders and detailing those who have been served with exclusion notices.

Membership to the Safer Medway Partnership is charged at a nominal sum of £7 per week. Smaller businesses can negotiate a reduced fee.  For this you will get a radio and all the benefits outlined above. There is also an associated membership for just £100 per year.
